Two Sons Alpaca Farm & Alpaca Education
Located along Maine’s picturesque coast, Two Sons Alpaca Farm, is the realization of our dream. Intrigued by these gentle and elegant animals we purchased our first alpacas. Over the past few years they have enriched our family, and brought a true sense of harmony to our lives.
As alpaca owners we have focused on two aspects of alpaca breeding:
- Quality, confirmation and color. When selecting our foundation females we focused on not only these three things, but their ability to pass along exceptional qualities to their cria.
- Education and mentoring. Before purchasing our first alpaca we visited many farms, and read a great deal. Since that time we have taken seminars on alpaca husbandry, fleece and showing, as well as, alpaca handling and training by Marty McGee.
From our own experience and hands on work with alpacas we have come to appreciate the need for education and mentoring of new alpaca owners, and continuing education for even the most veteran alpaca owner. With a long-term dedication to learning and a love of alpacas Alpaca Education was established.
